Vegas

Alex & I got to runaway to Vegas last weekend, and that was a BLAST. We drove down with Rob & Shawn, and the 16 hours of driving was well worth the trip. We saw Keane & Ingrid Michaelson perform in concert together which was fantastic. And we ate at the Wynn buffet and I thought I'd died and gone to heaven (seriously, I am a fat sow). We had to ride the New York New York, and it was fun to see all the new buildings that have been developed on the Strip. It was so nice to step out of our everyday doings and enjoy some vacation time, since we really haven't had that since we've been married. And last night was fun to drive down to Layton to watch the season finale of the bachelorette with all Alex's brothers and sisters (it was super funny). Now we're back into the swing of things.. Oh, and I got accepted into the Utah State Teacher Education Program, so we've been celebrating. School is coming up, and I'm looking forward to it! Except for the month of October... when Alex will be traveling Europe for a scholarship program.... He has been buried in books for this next semester, and I have compensated by picking harry potter back up. So I can't complain. We are just trying to soak up the last bit of summer now... heading off to the McClellan family reunion end of this week!
